Bie borë. Ajo bie e lehtë flokë-flokë mbi tokën, pemët, bimët, shtëpitë e çdo gjë. Ajo si një velenxë e ngrohtë ka mbuluar malet dhe gjithë qytetin. Çdo gjë vezullon nga bardhësia. Më pëlqen i gjithë ky shkëlqim, e gjithë kjo bardhësi edhe pse nuk e duroj dot të ftohtin. Flokët e borës bien në xhamat e dritares duke krijuar kristale të vogla. Diku mes reve të mjegullta gri ka dalë një rreze dielli.
Qielli me re, rrezja e diellit dhe kreshtat e maleve të zbardhura nga bora reflektojnë mbi liqen dhe duket sikur luajnë me valëzat e liqenit. Hap dritaren dhe fytyrën ma pret thëllimi i dimrit. Diku më tej, vështroj disa fëmijë, të cilët luajnë hareshëm me topa bore. Ata nuk tremben nga ftohtësia e dimrit.
Nga kuzhina ndihet ngrohtësia e zjarrit bubulak dhe e gjithë dhoma mbushet me erën e bukës së thekur dhe aromën e kafesë. Gjithçka është magjepsëse. Kudo mbizotëron qetësia dhe shpirtin ma mbulon një ndjenjë e thellë paqeje. E dua ndjesinë e dimrit.

Ajo bie e lehtë flokë-flokë mbi tokën, pemët, bimët, shtëpitë e çdo gjë.
It falls lightly flake by flake over the ground, the plants, the houses and everything.
Ajo, si një velenxë e ngrohtë ka mbuluar malet dhe gjithë qytetin.
Its like a warm blanket that has covered the mountains and the whole city.
Çdo gjë vezullon nga bardhësia.
Everything glitters from the whiteness.
Më pëlqen i gjithë ky shkëlqim, e gjithë kjo bardhësi edhe pse nuk e duroj dot të ftohtin.
I like all this brightness, all this whiteness, even though I cannot stand the cold.
Flokët e borës bien në xhamat e dritares duke krijuar kristale të vogla.
The snowflakes fall on the window glass creating small crystals.
Diku mes reve të mjegullta gri ka dalë një rreze dielli.
Somewhere between the grey clouds has come out a ray of sun.
Qielli me re, rrezja e diellit dhe kreshtat e maleve të zbardhura nga bora reflektojnë mbi liqen dhe duket sikur luajnë me valëzat e liqenit.
The cloudy sky, the ray of sun and the crests of the mountains whitened by the snow reflect over the lake, and it seems like they play with the ripples of the lake.

I open the window, and I can feel the frigid winter on my face.
Diku më tej, vështroj disa fëmijë, të cilët luajnë hareshëm me topa bore.
